West Dale

West Dale is a sandy and pebbly beach on St Ann's Head, backed with weak Old Red Sandstone cliffs, making the access path steep and crumbly. It is popular with surfers, but bathing is discouraged due to strong currents. The facilities are a 5 minute walk away to Dale , where there is a cafe, pub, shop, toilets and car park.

Limited roadside parking is available above the cliff, where there is a foot path down to the beach. A large car park is also available in Dale, which charges in summer and is a 5 minute walk from the beach.
